My 8 year old Vinnie just got his first publishing credit as the online magazine Static Movement (it's been around since before 1996 and has weathered the storms). I can imagine if he gets serious as he gets older about writing, this will sound truly impressive to mention in his BIO or on the back jackets of his books: I was first published when I was eight years old.  LOL!

I am so tired as my weary bones drag along the

ocean floor, dredging along the bottom of

my soul, past the brine of banal existence

and biting deep into the marrow of earth

where mysteries weep in confusion

and epiphany takes flight

in the quivering form

of floating jellyfish—

thought and

dreams
